GEi has developed construction documents to support reconfigurations, expansions, and equipment replacements at hospitals and outpatient imaging facilities throughout Connecticut. We have designed MEP systems to support equipment such as CT scanners, MRI systems, PET scanners, Linear Accelerators and mobile imaging systems. GEi works closely with the imaging equipment manufacturers to ensure that all required infrastructure is in place and properly integrated into building systems prior to installation of the imaging equipment. Newer, more powerful imaging equipment often carries with it increased power and cooling requirements; GEi provides complete analysis of existing building systems to ensure that the new equipment’s cooling and power requirements, including power quality, are met. These projects often take place within existing, operational imaging suites and require careful coordination with existing systems to minimize construction impact on surrounding areas; GEi’s extensive construction experience helps us to ensure our designs can be implemented smoothly in this type of environment.
